T The stone arched bridge across the river can be seen from the village green. The green was the site of a May Fair not long ago and is where Morris dancers entertain on some public holidays. The two inns close by offer hospitality at all times, The Lion Hotel produces excellent food.
The medieval town of Ludlow with its castle and many interesting ancient buildings, is eight miles away. Knighton, a small market town, on the Welsh side of the border, also eight miles away, and has a centre for those who wish to walk Offas Dyke. Shrewsbury and Hereford are less than an hours drive away. Within the area are castles, hill forts, an abundance unspoilt black and white timber framed houses in pretty villages, National Trust properties and both indoor and outdoor museums. Visitors to Leintwardine can be sure of warm welcome at any time of the year and interesting stay for discerning traveller. |
